A Study on the Cultural Contents of New Standard English

The cultural teaching the importance of English teaching profession has been generally recognized. The beginning of the new century, the Ministry of Education issued a \It focuses on improving students 'communicative competence and develop learners' sensitivity to different cultures. The textbook is the bridge between the target language and learners, it has been seen as the main source of input is the English culture. This paper aims to study the culture, based on the cultural awareness of the high school English textbooks published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. \This paper studies the following three parts: the first part is the investigation and analysis of one to five \The second part is the user assessment, including teacher and student awareness of cultural learning, as well as the cultural content in textbooks, teaching materials to develop cultural awareness and cultural teaching evaluation and recommendations. The third part is to study the role of textbooks in culture teaching. This paper textbook analysis and questionnaire as the main means of research, classroom observation is used to provide additional instructions. Qualitative research and quantitative research combined textbook analysis and survey. The results show that: (1) \(2) The user of the cultural content in textbooks basically satisfied, but not too optimistic about the role of textbooks in nurturing cultural awareness, setting up and the usual English teaching is closely related with the cultural content of the textbook. Based on these studies, the article on the new standard English \First, the editors should balance the proportional relationship of language and culture, and to add more cultural practice and cultural contrast content. Second, managers should provide more career opportunities for further studies to improve the teachers of cultural knowledge and cultural teaching methods. Finally, the cultural content should be included in the examination scope to improve learners' motivation. Hope this article provides reference information, textbook editors promote English teaching teachers and learners of English acquisition. However, the more mature cultural content assessment tools for the materials needed to conduct more in-depth research.
