The adverb in Chinese is a complex word class. In recent years, the research on adverb never’interrupted in Grammar areas. The most research is focus on the attribution, the semantic point and the grammatical functions of the adverb. And there are less systematic analysis of the translocation phenomenon. I found that the regular position of adverb is behind the subject and before the predicate when it is a adverbial modifier in a sentence. When it removes from this regular position, particularly it locates before the subject or at the end of the sentence, we should call these the translocation phenomenon. In this paper, we combine the achievements of past generations and my owe research, firstly clear and definite the classification of the adverb and its confine, and then we divide it into the optional translocation adverb and the obligatory translocation adverb these two subclasses. There are also two situation of the translocation phenomenon in grammar:the first is the semantic movement, that is, when the adverb out of its regular position it causes the change of the sentence semantic. The second is the pragmatic movement, that is, when the adverb out of its regular position it does not causes the change of the sentence semantic. But the deep meanings of the speaker are change in the pragmatic level. Although the translocation of the adverb are common, but not all the adverbs can shift. And the conditions of different classes adverbs translocation are also different. These are also the focus of this paper.
