Down's syndrome is one of the most common triploid autosomal disorders , 1% of the total incidence rate of conception populations [ 2 ] , live births in the incidence of 1 / 600 to 1 / 1000 [ 2 ] , the performance of for irreversible and varying degrees of mental stunting and structural abnormalities , the focus of the prenatal fetal malformation screening . Down syndrome prenatal screening by ultrasound is a non - invasive examination method can effectively reduce birth defects , and can greatly reduce the normal fetal abortion invasive inspection . This article first measured by ultrasound 10 to 13 weeks pregnant fetal crown-rump length ( Crown Rump Length CRL) determine ultrasound gestational age \than or equal to 2.5mm screening positive cases (NTCut-off value of 2.5 [ 12-13 ] ) . Confirmed by cytogenetic , led him to study the relationship between Jilin Province Han fetal NT and CRL and gestational age , and to explore the NT early in pregnancy screening for Down syndrome in the mid to recommend amniocentesis , screening positive cases . Second , the retrospective analysis of 4527 cases , 10 to 13 weeks' gestation , the fetus information antenatal clinics consulting , draw the normal curve for each gestational age NT , worked out of the 10th percentile , 50th percentile , 90th percentile . The results show that : in 3884 cases in the follow-up of cases and found 29 cases of Down syndrome , accounting for 0.75% of the population of the pregnancy , termination of pregnancy after NT screening and diagnosis of 27 cases , live births and newborns with Down syndrome cases occurred rate of 0.51 ‰; discovered eight cases of other chromosomal diseases accounted conceive population 0.21 % , 7 cases of NT screening positive cases , in theory, these seven cases screening positive cases diagnosed after termination of pregnancy should all live births theory other chromosomal diseases should one cases , the theoretical incidence of 0.25 ‰ .
