The Credit System is an advanced educational management institution. The significant behavior of this institution is the flexible of the choose,the decision-making powers of the learning,the adaptable of the training, the guidance of the learning process and the broad fields of the learning content.In China, practicing credit system in universities is not only the demand of the development of the economy, science and technology, but also the demand of the reform of the higher education, training excellent students, getting the independent right of the students. The development of the credit system in our country is tortuous. China is one of the country which pratice this institution early in the world. But strictly speaking, Chinese credit system is not the really credit system,it relates with our national condition and educational tradition.Praticing credit system is a complicated and systematic project. This thesis has analyzed and made theory in vestigations about the practicing of credit system in our universities. The first part carries on the overall summary on the credit system, including the meaning, historical gradual progress, characteristics and the necessities and so on.The second part introduces the development process of the credit system in China, including the present situation. The third part introduces the experiences of the foreign countries, like as American, Japan, England and France, we can gain a good deal of enlightenment from it. The forth part employs the experimental methods and uses the other important materials to explore and summarize the restricted factors in the credit system development with the three aspects i. e. ideology,society and the university. At the same time, uses the experiences of modern higher education in some western developed countries for reference and considering our specific practies of social and higher education development, from two aspects of macro and micro to put forward some typical problems. The fifth part proceeds with outstanding restricted factors and put forward some measures for solving these problems. In brief, this study will be useful to the reform of the higher education,it also will be good for training the talented personnel.
