The Research of Streaming Media Technology in the System of Tibetan/Chinese Remote Education

Tibetan/Chinese remote education is an important direction of development,which is combined by the technology of tibetan information and the technology of modern educational.Its basic features are using multimedia technology and computer network to realize Tibetan/Chinese language teaching and learning in the network environment.Video coursewares account for a large proportion in the Tibetan/Chinese asynchronous remote education.Streaming media technology provides the best solution to transport video coursewares.Not only does the emergence of streaming media technology affect people’s work,study and life,but also has brought new vigor and vitality to online education.Firstly,this article studies transmission principle,transmission mode,transmission protocol and play mode of streaming media.Then,by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of some main streaming media systems,the streaming media technology solutions of this topic is defined.Finally,the related support technology of the streaming media development is studied,the streaming media play system of the Tibetan/Chinese remote education courseware platform is designed and implemented.In the thesis’s core part,by using the technology of Adobe Flash to design and realize the streaming media play system of the Tibetan/Chinese remote education courseware platform.On the one hand,it provides a richer and more experiential video interface learning environment for the users who enter the Tibetan/Chinese remote education system.On the other hand,it has the features of economic and practical.Under the limited circumstances of funds and equipment,this system can be built.This paper elaborates the main achievements in the process of research in detail.These innovation work mainly embodied in the following three aspects.(1)The technology of streaming media is used in the Tibetan/Chinese remote education platform which has the special features of minority nationalities.(2)The streaming media play system of the Tibetan/Chinese remote education courseware platform is developed by the technology of Flex.The Rich Internet Application,which is developed by the technology of Flex,is more robust,responsive and richer interactive than HTML.The Rich Internet Application is the future trend for the wireless devices and the devices which need to occasionally connected.(3)After the final implementation of the streaming media play system of the Tibetan/Chinese remote education courseware platform, the desktop version of the system is designed and implemented by the component of <mx:HTML>.So that the system users have their own clients when they use this system,and these clients facilitate the users’various operations.
