Meige syndrome idiopathic blepharospasm - oromandibular dystonia (blepharospasm-oromandilular dystonia), is a focal dystonia , clinical manifestations involve a wide range of symptoms . The Meige syndrome etiology and pathological mechanism is not yet clear, so the treatment are exploratory , no curative therapy . The test under the guidance of the basic theory of TCM , acupuncture therapy to be added in the basic treatment to consolidate the clinical efficacy and reduce side effects caused by the medication , to find new ways to improve Meige syndrome clinical efficacy and long-term prognosis . Methods: be screening a period of 30 patients suffering from Meige syndrome inpatients and outpatients were randomly divided into two groups , one group to the conventional basic therapy (control group ) and the other to the basic treatment programs at the same time with the needle thorn treatment (treatment group ) . Treatment before and after the spasm intensity classification change and the adverse reactions observed in patients , the results of the proposed statistical analysis and processing . The effect of acupuncture on the the Meige syndrome symptoms mitigation and drug side effects .
