This article which mainly talks about the status of the winter swimming sports movement in Fuzhou city, proceeding from its research purposes and tasks, takes the chargers of 32 winter swimming teams and the sports lovers, Fuzhou administrators of the winter swimming sports association, Fuzhou Water Department and experts from Fuzhou Municipal Sports Administration as its targets of investigation. It adopts the method of the documentation, interview, survey and mathematical statistics method to analyze the status and the related factors of the winter swimming sports movement in Fuzhou city in order to find out its exsisting problems and its reasonable solving methods. The result shows that at present, the teaching places and equipment of the sport is not satisfactory, the support and management of the sport from some departments is imbalanced, the professional sports instructors are in lack and the sports culture hasn’t been highly valued. For the problems:providing the proper policies are improving the environment of the sport, increasing the cultivation of the winter swimming sports instrudtors, promoting the sports publicity, developing the administrative level of Fuzhou winter swimming sports association, improving the demographic structure of the sports lovers, developing the level of the sports scientific research and advancing the sports cultural construction. Based on research and analysis, it aims to provide reasonable methods for the scientific development of Fuzhou winter swimming sports and make a contribution to increasing the theory of winter swimming sports.
