As an integral part of the protocol of the IEEE 802.11b wireless LAN , MBOK is able to handle the data rate of 5.5Mbps and 11Mbps , the spread spectrum modulation method . Relative to traditional DSSS spread spectrum modulation , MBOK improve data transfer rate does not require a significant increase in the bandwidth overhead extensive attention . First, the current use several more spread - spectrum modulation : BPSK modulation and QPSK modulation , CCK modulation , MBOK modulation is introduced , and the error rate , processing gain , bandwidth efficiency , and other aspects of their were compared , focusing on the superior performance of the MBOK modulation . Then spreading and despreading the MBOK modulation program , including high-speed data serial-to-parallel conversion , spread spectrum , pseudo- code synchronization and despreading . Finally , Altera Corporation MAXPLUS Ⅱ development system for the platform, the modular design of the various parts of the system and the software simulation , simulation results show , designed to meet the predetermined requirements .
