Objective: This study was valsartan in spontaneously hypertensive rats with left ventricular remodeling and cardiac RAS members expressed , to explore the relationship between hypertensive left ventricular remodeling and cardiac AT2 receptor and ACE2 . Methods : 12 -week-old male SHR24 rats were randomly divided into blank control group (SHR-C), a small dose valsartan group ( 10mg/kg/d ) ( SHR- L ) , high-dose valsartan group (30mg/kg / d) (SHR-H), n = 8 . Separate months of age and weight - matched male WKY rats 8 normal controls ( WKY- C ) . RBP-I -type rat blood pressure and heart rate meter measuring rat tail artery systolic blood pressure ( SBP ) . All rats were sacrificed after 12 weeks of administration , measurement of left ventricular mass , calculated left ventricular mass index ( LVMI ) ; radioimmunoassay (RIA) determination of plasma and myocardial angiotensin II (AngII); picric acid - Sirius red collagen staining rat the heart of the slice; reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) detection of cardiac AT1 - RmRNA , AT2 - RmRNA ACEmRNA and ACE2mRNA the expression ; Western Blot Determination of cardiac ACE2 protein content . Results: ( 1) valsartan lower blood pressure of SHR , left ventricular mass index ( P lt; 0.05 ) , SHR-H group is more significant
