An Adaptive Watermarking Technique Based on DWT Domain and FCM Algorithm

With the booming development of information industry, the digitalization of information media and the exceptional growing of computer networks, we can get digital information conveniently and quickly. But the negative effect of digitalization technology has made the copyright and security of digital information products be widely threatened now. In the open computer network environment, it has become much urgent for us to provide efficient copyright and security protection means for the digital information products. So the digital watermarking technology has been put forward for this in recent years. An adaptive digital watermarking technique based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) domain is proposed to classify each individual detail images into two blocks : one is appropriate for embedding watermark ; the other is inappropriate ,by applying fuzzy c-means clustering (FCM)algorithm and fusion of uncertain imformation based on hunman visual system.And the cluster result is used as the strength of watermark.Experiment results show the Technique is more imperceptive and robust than some watermarking algorithms based on DWT.
