Education on income inequality in the mechanism of action and effect has been a focus of economic research . From the perspective of relative income inequality , a two- sector model , Kuznets inverted-U hypothesis established conditions , analysis of the nature of the inverted U hypothesis , and analyzes the impact of educational expansion on income inequality dynamic . The application of the model to simulate the changes in income inequality in the process of China's economic growth trends , pointed out that the inverted-U hypothesis may apply to China's situation . The simulation results show that the level of income inequality in China is about to close the inverted U- curve inflection point . From the microscopic point of view of the ability of the individual , the application of econometric methods to study the impact of education on income distribution . We have also studied the correlation between ability and educational choices , discussed various methods of estimating the returns to education . Application of Jilin Province, the survey data , we estimate the returns to education , family background on the returns to education . The estimated results show that family background has little effect on the returns to education . This article has some reference for the study of the education system of income distribution mechanism and effect .
