The Participatory Training Influence on Skills When Secondary School Teachers Communicate with the Parents

The great project, the education is a book. The teacher’s quality has closely related to the growth of the students, even more related to the future of a country and nation. The research of carrying out the teachers’ communication skills, especially the ability to communicate with parents, has a tremendously important theoretical and practical significance on the growth of teen-agers and teachers professionalization. Participatory training as a new training mode in China, has been widely used in many industries. Teachers’ training also gradually take this way. But in many rural schools, participatory training is not widespread. Many teachers don’t even know it. At present, teachers’ participatory training study stay on the leavel of the theoretical aspects and no specific operational research. Because of this, this study refere to domestic and foreign teacher-training researches and based upon this, constructed a simple participatory teaching materials on communication between teachers and parents. And the materials were applied to teachers’ training. I hope it can make a contribution to the teachers’ training.First of all, this study is based on the interview, ended questionnaire, literature review and experts evaluation, has been preliminarily determined the content of the communication skills training. It include three parts, the role of teachers and parents play as the students grow up, the main content of course and the skills when teachers communicate to parents. We asked four related experts for some simple assessment to the textbookSecondly, as the considering of the results evaluation, we decided to develop a communicate ability questionnaire. According to the training content and experts’ assessment, we determined the structure of scale and formed the prediction papers. The project of predicting the examination paper analysis and exploratory factor analysis, formed a middle school teachers and parents communicate ability formal questionnaire, while testing the reliability and validity of this questionnaire. The internal consistency reliability (Cronbach’s alpha s) of the scale is 0.882, half-split reliability was 0.835. The internal consistency reliability of the subscales were 0.817, 0.782,0.804 and 0.770.So the scale is valid.Thirdly, this study selected twenty-four teachers of two middle schools in North Jiangsu and chose twelve of them for three weeks participatory training. The progress of the training was been recorded. After the training, we tested the effectiveness by the homemade questionnaire. It proved that the teachers’ participatory training had no immediately effect but significant persistent effect.Finally, according to the training process and outcome analysis, give some suggestions and improve strategies for the teachers’ training process. We also put forward the limitations of the study in addition.
