This paper mainly studies the pollution loads and water environmental capacity of Junshan Lake. Based on carrying out the valley investigation, this paper estimates the pollution loads of Junshan Lake according to seven aspects(urban life pollution, industrial pollution, livestock and poultry pollution, loss of agricultural crop farming, aquaculture pollution, rural life pollution and wet deposition), combining with the proportion of the valley area of towns, the loads of pollution sources, emission factor and losing coefficient.The main conclusions of this study can be summed up as follows:Aquaculture pollution is the largest source of COD, TN and TP. The proportions are 52.89%, 35.88% and 60.55%. Therefore, it will make a large improvement on Junshan Lake’s water quality condition by taking effective measures on aquaculture pollution. The pollutions of livestock and agricultural crop farming are the second largest source of COD,TN and TP. They respectively take up of the total amount of COD into the lake 22.12% and 16.18%, the total amount of TN into the lake 16.55% and 17.95%, and the total amount of TP into the lake 21.35% and 11.22%. As to wet deposition pollution, it is accounting for 26.04% of the total TN into the lake, its contribution to TP is not clear.The other four take up less proportions. Nantai Town contributes the most to COD and TP. The proportions are 20.60% and 23.67%. Followed by Sanyangji Town, the proportions are 15.81% and 19.31%. Nantai Town and Sanyangji Town also contribute to TN, the proportions are 15.84% and 13.88%.Water environmental capacity of Junshan Lake is computed according to the factors, such as:status of pollution discharge, water quality, and the reference of functional zoning of surface water environment of Jiangxi Province. On the condition that the water quality target isⅢlevel water quality, the water environmental capacity of Junshan Lake should be:COD is 21571.00 t/a, TN is 1402.61 t/a, and TP is 66.15 t/a. While, at the present time, COD is 21723.72 t/a, TN is 1394.14 t/a and TP is 201.12 t/a. By comparing, the remaining capacity of COD is -152.72 t/a whose exceeding standard rate is 0.78%. The remaining capacity of TN is 8.47 t/a. The remaining capacity of TP is -134.97 t/a whose exceeding standard rate is 204.04%.According to the results of water quality situation, the analysis of pollution loads and water environmental capacity of Junshan Lake, this paper recommends the measurements to protect the pollution of Junshan Lake. The scientific and reasonable implementation of these measurements will contribute to the conservation and improvement of Junshan Lake.
