The design and analysis of ticket ejecting module of TVM in subway system was finished in this paper. A new improved project for ticket ejecting module of TVM was proposed to overcome the defects of traditional method of vending tickets with friction wheel, which hurt the cards easily with low control accuracy. In addition, the card ticket’s security was verified with the FEA methods for the first time.Firstly, the principle of the new project was introduced. Then the main structural layout of the ticket ejecting module of TVM was designed and the selection of motors and sensors were finished. Based on that, the design of each component was accomplished, such as timing belt components, ticket channel components, etc. The 3-D models of each part and the whole assembly were built in SolidWorks.Secondly, finite element models of the collision of tickets and the hook in two modes were built in ANSYS Workbench. Through the transient analysis of the ticket, the stress and strain on ticket was obtained at the moment of collision. The ticket’s security was verified by analyzing the maximum stress of the ticket and the stress and deformation at the location of the chip.Lastly, the dynamic analysis of ticket channel components was accomplished in RecurDyn. After analyzing the results from the angle of load and displacement, the actual movements of ticket channel components were tested to be right. The stability of actual motions was verified by choosing the right parameters, such as the stiffness coefficient, damping coefficient and preload of torsion spring.
