Effect of Botulinum Toxin Injection Guided by Different Strategies on Spasticity in Patients after Brain Injury

Objective: To observe the different positioning of Type A botulinum toxin injection treatment of spasm after brain injury , to explore a more reasonable , effective botulinum toxin type A injection positioning used in clinical treatment . : Select brain damage , the triceps muscle spasm patients , 45 cases were randomly divided into three groups A, B, C , A group (n = 15) to give B-guided the calf triceps botulinum toxin type A injection therapy ; B group (n = 15) in the positioning of electrical stimulation to the botulinum toxin injection therapy ; C group (n = 15) in the B-guided combined electrical stimulation positioning botulinum toxin injection therapy , three days after the injection therapy and treatment 4 weeks after assessment calf triceps the clinical spasms index (clinical spasticity index, CSI) and calf triceps surface EMG integral value ( Intergrated EMG, The concentric IEMG ) . Results : botulinum toxin type A injection CSI score and IEMG value in the 4 weeks 3 days CSI score of the three groups of patients with treatment after treatment than before treatment were significantly decreased; 3 days of the injection therapy group A and group B of CSI scores were not significant differences ( p gt; 0.05 ) ; C group was significantly lower than the A and B groups, there was a significant difference ( 7.60 ± 1.50 vs 8.93 ± 1.16,9.27 ± 1.62 ) , adjusted for age, duration of disease, body mass index , before treatment CSI, IEMG score differences still exist , four weeks after the injection of group A and group B CSI score and IEMG value was no significant difference ( p gt ; 0.05) , C group compared with A , B group CSI score ( 4.73 ± 1.03vs 5.67 ± 0.97,6.13 ± 1.06) and IEMG values ??(5.04 ± 1.90vs 7.06 ± 1.68,7.03 ± 1.58) there was a significant difference , adjusted for age, duration of disease, body mass index , before treatment, the CSI The concentric IEMG score differences still exist. Conclusion: Three guide the way of botulinum A toxin injection treatment after brain injury can significantly alleviate muscle spasms ; simple B-guided purely electrical stimulation image-guided injection of botulinum toxin type A treatment of muscle spasm was no significant difference B ultrasound-guided positioning injections combined with electrical stimulation compared with B ultrasound-guided injection of pure electric stimulus positioning ways to more effectively relieve muscle spasm .
