Objective : A retrospective study with vascular pedicle medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle flap to repair the anterior tibial soft tissue defects clinical effect. Methods: single pedicle, double pedicle, cross leg medial head of gastrocnemius muscle flap to repair the defect in 33 cases of small soft tissue . Results: The group of 33 patients , all survived the flap , the wound is completely covered , no recurrence of ulcers and inflammation . Fracture healing time 4-6 months. 1-3 years follow-up , no recurrence . Conclusion: The medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle flap to repair the anterior tibial soft tissue defect has a short duration , effective, surgery is simple and so is the treatment of tibial bone exposed a good way .
