This article by methacrylate - hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) modified N- isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAAm ) study examined the temperature sensitivity of NIPAAm / of HEMA smart materials preparation , properties and controlled drug release applications . Synthesis of a poly-N- isopropyl acrylamide homopolymer (PNIPAAm), poly-N- isopropylacrylamide poly hydrogel ( PNIPAAm, GELS ) ; Metabisulfite / ammonium persulfate (Na 2 S 2 O 5 < / sub > / APS ) water-soluble oxidation redox initiator system was prepared having a temperature sensitive N-isopropyl acrylamide - graft - methacrylic . - hydroxyethyl methacrylate (NIPAAm-g-HEMA) and the poly-N- isopropyl acrylamide / methyl methacrylate - hydroxyethyl methacrylate interpenetrating network hydrogel (NIPAAm-I-HEMA) new bio-functional materials ; using ammonium persulfate / emphasis sodium sulfite, a water - soluble redox initiator system , an aqueous solution of free radical polymerization having a new temperature sensitive N-isopropyl acrylamide / N- vinyl pyrrolidone, temperature -sensitive hydrogels (NIPAAm-g-NVP); Roatan Ming B such hydrogel microspheres as a carrier investigated as a fluorescent probe analysis of temperature-sensitive type of gel phase transition process and mechanism ; pentoxifylline , aspirin two different drug controlled release . The main contents of the paper are as follows : 1 . By studying the concentration of monomer , crosslinker, initiator dosage , oxidizing and reducing agents proportion the PNIPAAm homopolymer hydrogel swelling ratio (SR) , and explore the the PNIPAAm gel temperature Mintel and transition mechanism . 2. NIPAAm as the polymerization template, ammonium persulfate / emphasis sodium sulfite redox initiator systems , free radical aqueous solution polymerization of a temperature-sensitive poly-N- isopropyl acrylamide / HEMA hydrogels (PNIPAAm / HEMA gels). And studied the concentration of monomer , NIPAAm / HEMA ratio , the amount of crosslinking agent , initiator concentration, oxidizing and reducing agents
