In the 1990s , the smart antenna technology into the field of mobile communications , used to complete the spatial filtering and positioning . This paper studies the smart antenna algorithm part , including the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation and beamforming . DOA estimation using super-resolution techniques to reach the target position so that the signal accurately . Beamforming technology the form beam at the target , effectively tracking observe . This paper has three aspects : First, the improved MUSIC algorithm used to solve the incident signal is related or coherent signal , classic MUSIC algorithm performance degradation and even failure . Improved MUSIC algorithm is still able to make the incident signal reaches the reference element accurately , correctly estimate the DOA . Secondly , the introduction of several best performance criteria , beamforming algorithms use different criteria can produce different convergence and computational complexity . The simulation LMS and CM convergence of the algorithm and the beam pattern , and compare instructions . Finally, the use of a minimum BER algorithm applied to beam forming, to form a new beam -forming technique . The effect of the algorithm in the case of synchronization of the useful signal and the interference signal , the suppression of the interference in the communication system according to good effect , and in the error , computational complexity , etc. are superior to the LMS algorithm.
