The tension of two framework thread rope has a major influence on the capability of the synchronous belt in the process of molding. On the basis of analytical study on the constant tension control system of synchronous belt manufacture machine both home and abroad, we bring forward a new kind of constant tension control system, and achieve closed-loop control in order to satisfy the requirement of high precision. We design the electric scheme of constant tension control, and choose the part of controlling (Programmable Logic Controller) and the part of performing (torque motor and load cell). Besides, the circuit board is devised to magnify the voltage output of load cell, and alternating current voltage control module is contrived for the control of torque motor. Finally, we compile corresponding PLC procedure to finish the target of control. After the testing results of the new system have been analyzed, we make a deep anatomy on the disadvantages of the new control system, and put forward the corresponding correction of it.The results of this paper are helpful to improve the precision of domestic tension control and to promote the automation degree of belt fabricating equipments and the industrial development of synchronous belt. In the mean time, the research of this paper is helpful to other control system studies of electromechanical devices.
